HES, in partnership with TVA, offer the In-Home Energy Evaluation Program.  You can reduce your power usage and receive cash incentives or financing assistance for installing energy-efficiency improvements.

Participants pay an up-front fee of $150 for the evaluation.  If any recommended improvements are made over $150, the fee will be reimbursed.  Plus, you will be reimbursed 50% of the recommended installation measures up to $500, or financing. 

• Call 1-866-441-1430 to arrange for an in-home evaluation by a TVA-certified evaluator.
• The evaluator will inspect your home and create a report outlining the potential energy-efficiency modifications and available incentives or financing.
• Improvements must be made by a member of the Quality Contractor Network.  You will be provided a list to choose from.
• All home improvements need to be completed within 90 days.  The work will be inspected to ensure that everything is installed properly to maximize savings.
• You will receive a cash incentive after submitting your receipts for completed work.

Financing Option

Financing is available through Hopkinsville Electric System and TVA, subject to credit approval.  The rate is 6% for up to 10 years.  The minimum loan amount is $1,500 and is payable via your monthly electric bill.

The following recommendations are not eligible for financing or cash incentive:

Note: To qualify for an In-Home Evaluation, you must own your property and have electric service at your address for at least one year.
